Carol Anne Love anything Star Trek!
Particularly loved Ann McCaffrey. Her writing was exceptional for the times. The Brain ship series were excellent as for her earlier Dragon books I would have killed to have been with those Dragons 🐉 😉

Yes, some of the Star Trek books are very good, and I've been lucky finding the good ones in the Next Generation and Voyager universes lately, very enjoyable. Unfortunately a lot of those series books in the Star Trek universe are either not well written, have lackluster stories, or the characters are really off compared to how they were portrayed in the show. I've been fortunate to find some of the really good ones lately!

McCafrey was a big name in sci-fi/fantasy for years, still is, though she passed away in 2011. She left a legacy of stories behind to remember her by, stories that will continue to be read and enjoyed even though she's moved on. That's all any writer can hope for.
