I have been suspecting for a while now that this is a subtly Christian-inspired book. Now I'm almost certain of it. Since I've come this far, I'll finish anyway. Although filled with cliche-ridden characters, the book hasn't been heavy-handed or devoid of creativity (yet), so I continue to hope for the best.
