“Get my pants! Get my pants now!”

His head popped up again, this time wearing a frown. “That’s got to be the strangest thing I’ve heard a woman say before she comes.”

“I’m fine. I’m alive and believe me, I gave as good as I got, if not better. You don’t need to go kill anyone.”

“I’m not killing anyone. I’m just going to shoot them all several times each. If they die, that’s their fault.”

I like that the guy was a bad stripper and a bad PI. It made approachable and kind of cute.

I didn't like the first story, Consumed. I couldn't get past the eye roll worthy, over dramatic dialogue and descriptions. But I thought the second story, Conned was pretty cute. I'm still not a short story lover, but I saw a lot of promise in the writing and the characters. On to the third!
