Why is Goodreads adding books to my Currently Reading list randomly? Some have either been on my to-read list for several months or never heard of them!

If I download and open a book on my kindle app, Goodreads automatically adds it to currently reading, even if I was only opening it to check the length or whatever. That could be it.
