The writing is fine, but the fact that most of the viewpoint characters so far are terrible men working for a vague, terrible cause is a huge turn-off. I'm giving it till the end of part one because life is too short etc, but also because hopefully then something creepy will finally happen. Or, you know, plot will actually occur.
