I'm having even more fun reading this book for the second time.

While I love so many aspects of this story, I think my favorite part has been how Thea Guanzon incorporates Filipino culture in her world building.

THIS is how you write tension within the enemies to lovers trope.

The world building is dense and unique, I haven't read anything that comes close to what Thea has created. For someone who personally struggles with fantasy books, I do find myself rereading different paragraphs and Googling nautical terms. But I'm having an absolute blast immersing myself in the story! And I appreciate being challenged as a reader. Alaric's scenes are my favorite, and I'm excited to continue ♥️
