Went and read through all the reviews on here (not many) and there was one that lined up with my current view on the novel, and even hinted at something I will hate potentially happening (it was vague). Almost dropped it then and there, but ever other review is so positive. Some even say how it gets better. And I do see potential here. So I'll stick it out... but I will absolutely drop it if that thing comes to pass.

Reached my dropping point. Not for any particular moment - more of a death by a thousand cuts (or a few, anyways). The writing is subpar, the story is meh, the mc is annoying, and I fear that the content is not really up my alley in general. Rather than waste more time finding that out, I'll take my exit instead. Wouldn't be 100% against trying again in the future, but not counting on it.

I'm on the verge of dropping this. The mc is that whiny weak manchild stereotype. I hate the stereotypical alpha douche that a lot of harem novels go with, but I hate this as well. Why can't we have a nice middle ground? The only two sex scenes have been between lesbian side characters and mc not involved, so that's two strikes. And the story is kinda boring. Other than effort being put in, there's no positives yet.

It definitely has heart (no pun intended). The author clearly cares about what he's writing. It's not a soulless, factory-churned cash grab. BUT... it's cringe as fuck. He's going for this lighthearted comedic style, and it is just embarrassing. Not my preferred style.
Also, it committed what I view as a cardinal sin in these books, and had a sex scene not involving the MC. It was also the first sex scene. Not great.

Oof, immediately after the prologue, the writing quality takes a nosedive. Once dialogue started to come into play, the grammar went to shit. Like, it's readable, but practically every sentence could've been written better. This is going to drive me nuts... The curse of having an editing-oriented mind.

This is the current oldest harem novel I added to my list that I haven't read yet. I had kind of forgotten about it, until I was looking through my list recently. After the dud I just read, I'm hoping for something good.
Interesting prologue. Some thought was actually put into this; that's nice to see. Nameless is a dumb protagonist name. I guess it's to help self-insert, but eh, seems kinda lazy.
