What i do like about the art.
The clothes of everyone looks amazing, and accurate for the time period.
The close up pictures i like the human faces they got great accurate expressions.
What i don't like all human faces in distance panels, they just look really bad
At this juncture the art falls to 3 stars for me.
The writing isn't anything to write home about, but we will see when the woman of the marque is involved

It seems a big part perhaps of the oppression of the reformed Huguenots was out of fear of the most powerful country in Europe at the time in Spain, who was conquering other Europe countries on the pretext of fighting the reformed religion.
So France had to protect it's own ass by fighting the ones in it's country.
It's ugly business, and Spain was overly Fanatical back then.

Gabrielle totally reminds me of Sansa Stark, in her "i want to marry prince Geoffrey" phase.
I hope she don't meet the same fate though.
In a feminist graphic novel like this, she presents the opposite of the message the graphic novel wants to convey.
And we left Justine behind who personified that message.
It feels like we are heading to make an example out of her.
I hope my instinct is wrong on this one.

I had to use google for a few there.
It seems this is all about the Huguenots who were a protestant religious group in france in the 16th century, who were persecuted by the people and the government, even going as far as one of France's kings forcibly converting them to catholic.
They used to be 10% of the population and they were nearly extinct before finally gaining equal rights.
I doubt they are still around.
