Ah John, please, really, can you just tone down the Dude Bro New York Cool Guy Banter for a little bit, just a tad, please, for the love of God. Otherwise you're stories are all pretty cool. Ideas are great. But people don't banter during panic ALL THE TIME. It's funny when you do it sometimes, it's extremely tedious when it's every conversation.

Agreed! I didn't manage further than chapter 1 for this reason.

Yeah he can be really irritating. I remember hating Red Shirts because of the silly dialogue. Gods and I LOATHE Will Wheaton as a narrator, he makes the Dude Bro New York Cool Guy Banter SO MUCH WORSE. BUT I did ultimately enjoy the book. It's good solid scifi bubble-gum pulp.
