Off to a terrible start, to be honest. 10 poems in and the only one of note and interest is a previously unpublished Auden poem--which feels like it definitely shouldn't count in a 2023 B.A.P. when it was written in the mid-20th century and definitely NOT American in any inherent sense. Equi & I have very different tastes in poetry. All the more fascinating to read. Maybe it'll turn around, but it's not looking good.

There was a good one or two in the past seven, but talk about top heavy. I fear this may result in the lowest average I've given to a 21st century Best American Poetry edition so far.
