I was considering putting this down, because at face value it’s a little lofty and academic, but little snatches of sentences kept turning up and reminding me that Zadie Smith can articulate the fine threads of human experience as well as Virginia Woolf. It’s not NW, not yet, but I can see the story picking up steam and taking shape beyond its dusty beginnings.
