If, like me, you read Akata Warrior all the way back circa 2018, I would not recommend doing what I'm doing and forging straight ahead with book 3 without re-reading the prior books. I have forgotten so much. Alas, the Hugo voting schedule is unforgiving, and I don't have the time for re-reads.
