one time when I was in kindergarten i begged my dad to take me to my elementary school basketball game. I don't like basketball and I didn't have any friends on the team. I just wanted a hotdog and some gummies. It was boring, but I got what I wanted.

Okay. I dont like Maura. Berry said their fake I'd was 8 years older than they actually were. How old is he? 10? I thought he was in 8th grade. Does the id say he's 21? I have never in my life met a 13 year old whose voice hadn't broke that looked 21. Why would Maura 1. Assume they were there for estrogen 2. Let them buy her a drink with an obviously fake id? Even though they weren't drinking it's weird

definitely not middle grade. idk what the person who added this to the list was thinking. they say shit in the first chapter and detail abuse in way too much detail than is appropriate for a middle grade audience. now that i know it's not middle grade i'm more hopeful.
