I couldn't stop reading till the end or to update. The reality of Darnay's history in this story made me sad. Not to mention the reveal of Dr. Manette's reasons to turn mad in jail. But I closed that novel with deep sorrow for the end of Sydney Carton. Who has the right to say if you worth living happily or not? No one not even you. But I guess in that time of Europe it's harmful to think that way.

The Revolution of France is knocking down every castle, anyone against it ends killed or hanged. Both Charles Darnay and Mr. Lorry are dragged to go to France for different reasons, yet share the moral of rescue. Mr. Lorry to save the belongings of the bank clients when Darnay without telling anyone sneaks to save his servant Gabelle.

And the winner is Charles Darnay. He ended marrying Lucie Manette. Dr. Manette hands his daughter happily yet something worries him & he loses his mind to be back to Paris shoemaker. Luckly, being watched by Mr. Lorry, day & night, he recovers sooner than expected. Lorry burns every tool or unfinished shoe to prevent the shoemaker of Paris from returning. What is still unknown or hidden in this story?

The Roadmender, Death of Gaspard & An English Spy. Back to France & to Saint-Antoine that no longer calm. Anger is rising, plans are knitted, people are gathering others are spreading. If you think you might beat them your full name will be written in a list & if you joined them you will be one of the Jacques. Those who will write a new history for France with Blood.

3 men & 3 different love confessions. The third & last was from Sydney who was brave enough to sit with Miss Manette herself and open his heart. The way he confessed was a surprise to me. I thought he would be stronger, straight forward and direct in his confession. To know he had tears in his eyes & asks her not too cry?! I have ended the 9th chapter not believing how it did end?!

3 men & 3 different love confessions. The second was from Mr. Stryver, the lawyer. He told Sydney first & decided to confess to Miss Manette but his legs took him to Mr. Lorry as the dear friend to the Manettes. The reaction of Mr. Lorry was quiet surprising to Stryver. That was in the morning & by night it was Mr. Lorry's turn to be surprised. Stryver had changed his mind showing petty for them.

3 men & 3 different love confessions. Starting with Darnay, who became a French language teacher in London. The young man is in love with Lucie Manette. He choses to speak to her father in her absence to get his blessings. The reaction of Dr. Manette was very touching, it was clear he feared losing his beloved daughter. The two men promise each other not to tell Lucie util she speaks her love towards Darnay.

It has been over 60 pages and 5 years of a time after reading about the loyal servant Monsieur Defarge. We are taken back to Paris when a carriage of Evremonde Marquis ran over a child and kills him. A new characteristics are shown describing Defarge: wise, tall and full of dignity.

It has been so obvious to us readers that Charles Darnay is not liked by both Sydney Carton & Miss Pross. Even Dr. Manette who deals with the young man with much high manners, it happened twice when a flash of his old memories keeps him stare at Darnay with hate.

The end of chapter 4 and we get to know a beautiful & ugly side of Sydney Carton. His love to Lucie Manette & his hate to Charles Darnay, whom so alike to him in figure but much higher in position.
