She had patience. The patience of stones worn away by wind and water, of continents creeping into one another to create mountains, of crystals growing in dark places. The patience of a planet caught in orbit around a sun that would last ten billion years before burning it all back to stardust.

Spontaneously reading this, because it contains Hurley's story inspired by Tiptree's Your Faces, O My Sisters! Your Faces Filled of Light! which I just finished, I didn't like it very much on the first try (without knowing the inspiration), so here we go again! I also read Boolander's story before and didn't like that one much either, clearly a sign to give the collection a go...
