Apparently my copy has more pages than Goodreads here, but page 222 I feel like most of my frustration and confusion with Toni V's POV could have been solved with a simple "But she couldn’t be here now. Everyone in this city had been evacuated before the war. People had only just recently started coming back," early on. Or something to give us timeframe reference between our two MCs.

Seriously? Our main takeaway at this point is "Is she dateable?" Young allosexual boys are bane.

This whole "_____ is for losers," thing is such a terrible... motto? For a workplace? It feels like it's being taken as actual discipline and it is so tame and jarring for the situation.

Toni V's setting and character is not well defined. It is far easier to understand things from Pelly D's POV.

Finally, I get some sort of explanation for why we are doing anything in the first place in this book.

There have been several points where I was like "Why is the MC acting so weird about this?" which could have been fixed with some more worldbuilding/pressure from without, not within. Plus, the 1st diary entry did NOT make me wonder or worry about ANYTHING. A better hook was needed for me in these first pages. Oh, also? The chapters are not numbered?! BLASPHEME.
