The courtroom.stuff is not bad. I liked the run through of different types of murder and narrowing down what the death of the kid due to religious beliefs would fall under. The terrorist stuff is just so much unbelievable fluff

Crappy writing. How disappointing. One of the characters name is Milquetost....seriously?

And his wife is laughable. Pear-shaoed man, sexually appealing woman - oh ok apparently this is a series. They're older, with adult and teenaged children. She's lost an eye because she opened a mail bomb meant for him.

Their kids have superpowers (not really but it's just written poorly and I don't even want to discuss it anymore. They sound like insufferable perfect people - again more than perfect, super human

The first scene is compelling. Probably quite a bit overdone, but it makes sense, the religious fanatics refusing care for a child who died.

The terrorist attack situation reads very silly. The threat of organized sleeper cell international terrorists in the us is overblown. We are at much more risk of domestic aholes who are white Americans.
