the anti-communism is craaaaaaazy ! just constant random attacks on the ussr ! also they keep referring to connolly as a socialist and they never call marx or engels communists lol. v v telling !

book gets significantly better closer to modern times at the very least. and it has slightly helped clarify the national question regarding scotland

weirdly anti-communist ? two out of nowhere attacks on revolutionary china and the ussr so far ! even at one point comparing james I to stalin ??
also the writing style is medicore.
otherwise alright and informative. was hoping for a more indepth analysis but using it as a "peoples history" intro to scotland makes it a worthwhile read so far !
