I've been blowing through this quicker than expected. So far, in terms of quality of writing, the story is falling short when compared to the first book. I'm not sure if I feel this way because I went from audiobook (first novel) to an ebook for this one and am losing some of the immersion depth in the format switch or if there's genuinely just not enough plot tension to compete with A Dark Window
