I was promised excitement but I'm on the brink of a DNF. Anticipation initially fueled my reading but the narrative has become bogged down by excessive regurgitation and a plot that falls flat. I am questioning the investment of my time considering there's 3 more books. As the flames of engagement flicker, the hope for a riveting tale begins to wane, and the decision to part looms.
