I have a whole chart about the characters in this series. 😅 I’m obsessive about errors like this. It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one who notices these things.

isn’t it frustrating!? i wish it didn’t bother me as much but now i can’t stop thinking about it! i get it, authors forget, but i guess i always think they have their own timelines written somewhere or something to prevent these errors. unless i’m reading this wrong or something? i’m trying to convince myself i’m wrong but the math is not adding up.

I remember not being very impressed with books 5 & 6 and my notes just run together for the whole series (not broken up by book). I’ll be rereading these soon and will have to pay closer attention. The last note I see of mine says “Vegas over Halloween” and “celebrated Jayden’s 9th birthday.” 🤷🏻‍♀️

sadly i don’t take notes while reading so i just got off based on memory and looking up keywords like “five” (that’s how i confirmed justin would turn five in january). i’m trying to ignore it and not pay attention. i’ll stress myself out for no reason. in a couple days i’ll forget this haha. i’ll try and keep an eye out for whenever you re-read this and i can try and ask what you think. 😂

@elena things like this are evil.. I can't focus on the story itself anymore with discrepancies /errors on my mind. It's very frustrating.

thanks so much for telling me! i just messaged her on ig so hopefully she gets back to me. i’m simply trying to understand if my math is wrong or what. my brain likes knowing how much time has passed and such so it becomes super frustrating when i can’t keep up with the timeline because it’s written wrong, or there’s a small error. i just don’t understand how jayden and justin went from being 8 and 4 (four years apart) to 5 and 10 (five years apart). i’m ignoring it though, so it’s not bothering me as much but…still. 😂

right!! it makes me think about it too much. even if i am wrong i’m still thinking about how and why i think it’s wrong. 😂

It's a small thing that I would definitely notice and have a problem with as well 😬 Either the author didn't realize that she made a mistake or she didn't correct it, because she did not care.
