this has nothing to do with what I think about the book but one of the main characters has this strange obsession with E.T. and i was suddenly reminded of the time my cousin was convinced E.T. and IT was the same movie because the alien in E.T. had scared him so much he thought that had to be the horror movie people referred to when they spoke about IT, and then we had an argument about it (we were very small)
