I saw the movie first which I think has sullied my opinion but that’s not the main reason I think this book isn’t for me. I would say most of Reid’s newer books have captured my attention, drawn me into their world and provided epic stories. As I try to back read her collection, I realize these kind of love stories she use to write was not her forte. The vibrant worlds she creates in her new works are so much better.
