I feel quite ashamed, that this is the first Gujarati book I'm reading, and in parallel, I'm delighted in the joy it brings. I used to scoff it off, but the depth in writing does hit harder in one's mother-tongue. The book is a window in a time machine, taking me back decades, opening up the diversity and wisdom of the country. Time is flying too fast and my rate of reading too slow at the moment.
