And it’s almost never useful to dedicate chapters to tell the very same event from two different points of view. Especially if the story is not advancing (but being bogged down by internal dialogue and feelings) when it’s said the 2nd time.

Yeah, this definitely feels like it was written by someone else. And it’s so repetitive and dragging. I don’t get their attraction. I’m on chapter 24 and a whole bunch of nothing and a whole bunch of thoughts is what’s been happening. I’m skimming a lot. The only reason I’m pushing through is because I’m invested in the series.
