genuinely what gives Archer the impression that he has any say over what MK says or does? he’s essentially a child. living in his step daddy’s mansion. he’s not a functioning adult and he has no right whatsoever to try and discipline anyone else

after the phone call with her father, i couldn’t feel worse for MK. no one in her life protects her, and none of the men around her respect her or acknowledge her agency in any way.

once again disappointed by the lack of forthcoming or evolving descriptions. nearly 200 pages in i still only know the four major descriptors the author chose to use when the characters were first introduced and even though they’re all living together i don’t feel like i know much more about their personalities beyond the initial sparse introductory points

Archer’s assholery is getting old. nothing about his attitude or behavior is acceptable, let alone attractive; the way he speaks to and physically hurts MK is gross af.

stripping off when Archer was mad at her ~revealing clothing and tried to corral her by having his groupie spill juice on her was such an alpha move

writing quality is higher than the standard for this genre, so it annoys me that someone who can write chooses to write cringe shit like “i shot a look at the pierced, tattooed guy.” epithets, in the year of our lord kim namjoon 2023? p l e a s e. the reducing of a person (even if it is a man) to their being pierced and tattooed is criminally cringe

FL is very un-annoying so far, which makes a delightful change

i’ve never heard women refer to one another as “girl” with either the frequency or sentiment that it occurs here and it’s very awkward to read, it throws me right out every time.

descriptions of appearance here list hair color, eye color, tattoos and piercings and nothing else. i would really like to see more detail given.
