So much possibility but this book had such a pedestrian start full of mundane details such as the temperature on arrival in Bangkok, cost of and length of taxi wait, and every item of food and drink that passed her lips that I almost put it down. I did however persevere as I was travelling in Thailand whilst reading it and had spent the previous August I Vietnam and it did pick up somewhat.
