Thinking I may not finish this. Nice prose, some clever concepts, and it comes from a place of compassion for "offenders", but it read a little too much like a philosophy book. Sophie's choice type-thing.
I'd rather not push too much to finish something that doesn't reward the reader's efforts.

This book seems to be concept-driven, rather than either character or plot-driven. I'd opt for non-fiction if that's what I was after. ;)
