Moving on...
I love that this is one of those books that the obvious love interest threatens to kill the MC, yet when he really gets to know her he realizes he just cannot follow through with it. BOOOOOO!!! And further more, why didn't anyone try to teach the princess about proper court etiquette? The one and only time anyone ever sort of tries, she gasps and apologizes, then asks the princess (Megan Chase) not to tell the king. No one except the shameful cat tells her the barest of basics. This is laaaaaaame.

This is probably the least faerie faerie book I've ever read. Kagawa is iffy, at best, when it comes to sticking to faerie lore. That wouldn't be an issue if anything really made sense. If you're trying to hide your half fae child from the fae, wouldn't it make sense to move to the middle of a city, surrounded with iron? Have iron everywhere? Instead they "hideout" in a swamp, in the middle of nowhere. Makes sense.
