The final two sections are picking up a bit, which is good.

This is really dragging through the middle. It’s a cool story and started off great, but these middle 150-200 pages are a slog.

While still interesting, the narrative has slowed down in the middle.

“…the wounds transformed into dark scars, as if the hand were laden with time.”

Beautiful writing and slow, careful, creepy world building. This is going to be a wonderful story.
