This is just genuinely one of the best stories ive ever read! The world building is incredible, the ideas are so rich, and the characters are really well developed right from the start, with complex motivations and beautifully written inner thoughts. And its even better w this reread than it was the 1st time, bc i can see all the foreshadowing and understand the world and comcepts so much better now. I love it sm!!

this is just so painful to watch. I feel like it IS all headed toward the dreaded jihad. I also feel that paul is being so focused on preventing people from dying in the future that hes letting people die now in his trying to prevent something that hasnt happened yet. Dread for the future is ruining and hurting people in his present. Also he talks too much now

One thing the movie didnt cover was how they CANT leave bc of the spice addiction in their bodies and how theyll die if they dont have it anymore. So it wasnt a matter of choosing to stay, which wasnt brought up in the movie

This book is just so good. Im really loving it. This is the type of book that i wish i owned a copy of, so i could take my time reading it and really enjoy it. I think i will try to get a copy of it, bc i definitely want to reread it one day

Well i watched the movie. I didnt quite finish the book in time, but i was happy w/ how far i made it (to paul flying the thopter over the sandstorm). The movie was good, very atmospheric and super similar to how i imagined it but ofc it lacked the character development and plot intricacies of the book. But thats to be expected, so overall really good! Altho it left on a cliffhanger! Does it cover the whole book?
