Ugh! I know we are going to find out that his girlfriend is a bitch and deserves to be treated like she is. But seriously the hero has been with her for 2 years. Knows he isn’t going to marry her. That’s ok but seriously even if magic is involved he meets the mermaid 1 day and dumps his girlfriend like a hot potato and moves in with the mermaid.
