I started reading a few chapters of this book in 2021 when it came out. Somehow I found myself unable to finish it though I found it very relatable and easy to read.
I found the book again two days ago sitting it on my long forgotten book shelf. Something just made me pick it up and admire the artwork on the cover. That’s when I decided I want to have a go at it again. So here I am.🤞🏼

Memories about the book come rushing back. I realise now why my father recommended it. He told me I would find many aspects of the protagonist’s life similar to mine.
A modern, semi-urbanite Telugu-speaking girl born and brought up in Tamil Nadu with only a shadow of knowledge about her Telugu ancestry venturing into stories within her family, especially the women before her is too close to heart. Intriguing.
