I was getting really tired of people telling me what to do. I knew my brother. He liked to play with his food before he ate it. I had to protect myself. If I got killed, Black would murder me.

It was a large, modern mansion. Windows surrounded the place, but I couldn’t see through the glass. The garage door opened and when we drove through the doors, I assumed we’d stop, but the driver kept driving down a slope and suddenly, I felt like we were going down to the Batcave or something. Black chuckled and I turned toward him.
“What?”
“You. You’re surprised, aren’t you?”
“It’s just… Are you Batman?”

Lying was my go-to, even if I was only half good at it, but I couldn’t find my filter. “Because if I let reality in all the time, I won’t much want to live in this world. Would you?”

By the time I was done with Dylan, he was exactly how I’d promised. He felt every shot, every stab, & every slice. He didn’t go quietly. He knew why he got what he deserved. His last words were to please just kill him. It was his dying wish and I happily granted it.
