Oof! I am really trying with this one! I wanted a quick, Christmas-y read, and I was keen to Caimh McDonnall, but this is not sitting well with me. The narration re: the main character is annoying me, and the bits that are supposed to be funny (having a gun pulled on you whilst standing at a urinal and having to disarm the potential assailant one-handed...

My first Caimh McDonnall book. Morgan C Jones has a wonderful voice, but his DS Bunny McGarry voice is somewhat annoying. Thankfully, the audiobook is 2-1/2 hours, and if I enjoy the writing, I can pursue other books in the series in either physical or electronic book form.
