Oh man I'm still mad at the romance in the first book that I refuse to read anything else by this author.

I know lol. I've begrudgingly accepted that its fine this time. Like I don't think it works but it's also not a terrible romance. I'm in a weird place where the middle part got really exciting but now I feel like I'm just twiddling my thumbs leading up to the end of the book.
