This was interesting, enjoyable. Rumplestiltskin-esque. It did it's job of getting me interested in reading the series, the only problem being that it is no longer on amazon, so I will likely never get to read this series. My only complaint about the prequel itself is that it needed another edit. Many times simple words were missing from sentences, like "and", "he", or "the". This made the read a little stilted.
