Omg finally something happens

A BOOK HAS NEVER MADE ME ROLL MY EYES LIKE THIS. 200+ pages in and the only significant character development event was….her throwing a book at a girl? And this “serious” friendship she has with a guard she met about a week ago is annoying. The author could’ve spent more time building the friendship, not expect us to believe it’s like they have known each other forever from the beginning.

atp it’s a story without a plot, and it’s becoming hard to read.

…getting a little frustrated with the writing style, perhaps this book was for a younger audience? But if so, how? With such mature themes?

The writing style is a little cliche and simple. Tons of world building. Still waiting for some major event to compel me to keep turning the page.
