Something I just noticed: Why is the entire series called "the legend of the scarlet clouds?" Sure there was red sky sometimes in the first cycle, but there is no legend about scarlet clouds anywhere.

The portrayal of the Izunas here not only differs from the previous books in that they have ear-antlers, but they have no connection to ice at all. The story about the human izuna and the sacred tree looks promising but so did the first book of the other series.
