Not exactly the same, because I know it's Lizzie faking the flu (or something) but in this one everyone but the heroine gets food poisoning, and they all get the weekend off. Not the same, but much similarities.

This is not really about the book (apart from t being in there) but it's more of a general idea in NA. don't have the exact number - the number is way too high anyway - but it's disturbing how often the guy/hero's definition of perfection when it comes to a girl/woman/heroine is that she is "innocent". And by innocence, 99% of the time that means untouched/virginal/pure etc.

Okay, so it wasn't the moment I expected, but this one was just as cliché.

Is now the moment when the big bad authority comes out and tells her story of how she too took risks and that they were worth it, but be careful? Or you know, that sort of moment. Something like that, although I'm too tired to articulate my thoughts properly.

They are going to explore Rome on a scooter.
I SMELL LIZZIE MCGUIRE MARATHON THIS WEEKEND.

“You shouldn’t put yourself down, Annalise,” he tells me. “You’re braver than you think.”
Third meeting. The insta-love is great in this one.

Quick question (because I don't have the energy to re-watch the movie) but doesn't the hot guy in the Lizzie McGuire movie tell her to see the "real Rome", not just the tourist sites? Because that's what - shockingly - the hero in this book does as well.

My cheeks burn as I realize what I was doing: throwing myself at him, like some shameless slut!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. You were doing everything (slightly cliché) right up until this point.

I can't help but replaying Lizzie McGuire (the movie) while reading this. I mean, Rome. Meet hot guy. Tight schedule. Sneaking away from the group. An anal supervisor... Well, it's been years since I watched the movie and I liked it, so maybe I'll like this as well.
