A lot of times things are being said that seem out of context and out of know where. I’m hoping these things will be explained as the story moves a long. I keep feeling like I’ forgotten or missed something and it’s pulling me out of the story. It’s a really shame I really enjoyed the first book. Lots of survivors guilt in here and lots of traveling slow paced dialect. Feeling sad for Zylah but getting bored

I wish someone would realise what Zylah is doing to herself mentally. I wish they would notice and tell her it’s not her fault and she isn’t a monster. Give her a hug.
I know that Holt is suffering too so that’s why but it’s so hard to listen to her beat herself up over things she has no control over.

Why does Zylah hate and blame herself so much for peoples deaths that are fighting in the resistance? Yes they died when she was part of the group, but they where fighting and dying before she was even born. They didn’t just start dying when she turned up. Yes I understand survivors guilt but still this hasn’t even come up once!

Of course acani berries = Holt. St least now I know. 😂
