Buddy reading this with Sam(AMNReader) over on StoryGraph!
(I don't know, y'all, I think I may still be GRs for life lol)
This is why I like to give, almost all, books a chance. On paper, first person pov a little bit of stream of conscious, New Adult, seemingly love triangle, story would not be for me at all.
But somehow, this has charm and is sucking me in, a little bit like The Wall of Winnipeg did

I knew you'd be the first comment, lol! I think I'm too elder millennial to be typing on my phone, it does make my responses shorter/concise, which could be a good thing. The hiding of comments until you get to percentage is the opposite for me, I want to be in the know at all times!
I think I could use it for buddy reads but I don't like how for reviews, even though you can write ones out, most don't and just do the clicking of already listed prompts. "Are the characters likable?" How in the world does that work for anyone with how different people view things.
I'm just someone who wants to read thoughts, not go down a clickable check list to get an idea about what a book is about and thoughts on it.
Yeah, social, it doesn't have anything for me. Maybe in the future I'll do more challenges but right now, I don't really do them except for bingo games with groups of people
I've tentatively parked a spot at StoryGraph for some buddy reads for now but definitely GRs forever for me lol

I know I use the website regularly instead of phone. I'm older than you after all!
I don't like the list either, and I don't always feed it. I just pop in my review. I really enjoy it for tracking challenges and my own reading BUT it doesn't give much as a consumer review site. Its function is just a bit different.
I wish my GR feed still worked, or notifs, bc it is the best book discussion place for reviewers no doubt, but it's seemed so hard lately!
Wait, I thought StoryGraph was only an app?????? You probably just ruined things for yourself because our next buddy read will have my long ass quotes now. Mwwahahahahahhah

I just prefer the way SG threads BR/hides things :) and the challenges!
