The sex scenes in this book read like a teenage fantasy. They're outrageous! I think porn has better scripts. How many takes it did the narrator record? I cannot imagine she was able to read some of these scenes without cracking up, especially when his cock boings out 🤣 That said, the main plot is rather interesting. Learning about the Bone Quarter was downright terrifying!

I'm not sure which is more outrageous -- the Fifty Shades series or this book. SJM is back to her same shitty sex-tropes. This is why I stopped reading ACOTAR after the second or third book. Predictable, weak plot lost in even weaker subplots, and every single shittu romance trope.

Why are we so focused on Ruhn's piercings flashing? Why are Bryce's panties always soaking wet? The 16-year-old sex fantasy continues. Is this written for adults by an adult, or is this some sex-crazed teen fantasy of adult romance? Honestly, this is why I stopped reading the Court of Thorns and Roses series. It's also why I stopped reading Laurel K. Hamilton.
