Here’s the thing. Up to a point I couldn’t put this book down (on second reading). Now, I kinda feel like I have an obligation, but in a bad way. Obvious things are now standing out (why didn’t they X, how come they didn’t Y) and I understand the mate thing, but the possessiveness is kind of annoying now. And a rough transition away from what was. Bring that back cuz it’s what kept me wanting to read.
