I have a not for me shelf and I do find it helpful! I wish we could tag authors as not for us on here too but I just keep a mental list of those.

@RL, I’m not surprised you have one considering you also have a maybe shelf, you’re so organized 😭 I have an ‘avoid’ shelf but I was using that specifically for cheating and other triggers so I’m definitely gonna make one just for not being interested. And I agree about tagging authors. I wish the stuff got listed with our personal shelves instead of “shelved” it would be so much easier to keep track of stuff too. 🥲

I want to be more organized 😂. My not for me shelf is a catch all for cheating or heavy ow drama or triggers or kinks I don’t prefer to read about and it works well enough. There are so many ways we could make GR better if we had the power 😂.

I have a decided against shelf that’s pretty new and it’s extremely helpful. I move stuff that was on my tbr to it so when I see it again I am reminded that I x’d it.

I have a sampled not for me shelf. I toss everything in that I start but don't want to finish.

I just add them to the DNF shelf, if it's there and it's unrated, I know it just didn't appeal to me.

@Kristina, it hadn’t even registered in my brain how much better of an idea that is instead of just removing a book from the TBR shelf throwing it back into the void 😂😂 I’m definitely gonna do it, tho I wonder if there’s a way to turn off updates of things getting shelved on my feed? I can already imagine the flood it’s gonna be when I’m looking for something new 🙈
