From a hiatus to a slump 😒

It’s my birthday and I’ll read if I want to, read if I want to~

My first ever ARC request got approved 🥳

Of course, now that I’m too busy entertaining family that I don’t have time to read there’s a bunch of new releases I can’t wait to get my eyes on. 😭

When you’re really good at picking bad books to read 🤡

Why did I bother signing up to be able to request ARCs if I’m too scared to request one? It feels like there’s too much pressure to write a good review when my reviews are just jumbled thoughts, I don’t feel worthy 😭

Why’d I think buying this was a good idea when I’m always unsatisfied with short stories? I just finished the first one and I wanted it to be a full length novel 😭😭😭😭😭

Apparently there’s an author on Tiktok saying if you rate a book 3 stars or lower you’re an asshole 😂😂😂 she wants a high rating cos ‘writing a book is hard’ 😂😂😂 i can’t wait to watch all the clapbacks 🍿

I think I really need to make a shelf for books that I’ve considered but decided against reading because it’s getting exhausting looking for new books only to keep reading the same blurbs over and over again because I can’t keep track of book titles I don’t want to read 😭

I want to rip my hair out, this author doesn’t use contractions and just used “chow” in the dialogue that I’m fairly certain was meant to be ciao, the Italian word 🙈 omg I can’t believe I paid for this book 😭

KU and libraries have really spoiled me, to the point where if I have to actually spend money on a book I probably won’t buy it unless I know for sure I’m going to love it. 🙈
