Why did I bother signing up to be able to request ARCs if I’m too scared to request one? It feels like there’s too much pressure to write a good review when my reviews are just jumbled thoughts, I don’t feel worthy 😭

Kristina So most of the reason why authors and publishers want arcs is about getting their review numbers up (especially on Amazon) so the length or ‘quality’ of the review really doesn’t matter. So remove the pressure from yourself, pick a book you like, request it and write three sentences and leave it unrated. Give yourself those parameters for your first one so you don’t give yourself anxiety over it. Jus t get your feet wet with a few.

Also buket is right, your reviews are awesome and totally in line with any other arc reviewer out there.

Kristina You got this girl.

Catherine I had the same fears and I finally chose to just try it out. I’m typically shy and an over thinker lol Your review is just as valued as anyone else’s bc it’s your own thoughts.

Thanks for this! Thinking about it as just increasing the review numbers helps immensely! And setting some perimeters for myself is a great idea, thank you ❤️❤️

Totally relate to shy and overthinking, we make things harder on ourselves than it needs to be 😂😂😂 The encouragements I’ve gotten have helped me feel ready to tell my brain to shush and just give it a go lol

Kristina You can also wait until launch week to post an arc review if you are shy about sticking out. Let some other reviews pile up so you can hide in the back lol.

Brooke I feel you!! Don’t over stress about it ❤️

RLbooks (in and out) Your thoughts aren’t just jumbled and you often have a different perspective! Even if they were all jumbled, other readers like those real reading thoughts and experiences (I know I do)!

❀ Jess @Kristina, that’s true, I didn’t even think of that lol but what you said about it just being another number to the review count made me feel better 😊

@Brooke, I’m gonna try it! ❤️

@RL, thanks RL ❤️🥺
