Apparently there’s an author on Tiktok saying if you rate a book 3 stars or lower you’re an asshole 😂😂😂 she wants a high rating cos ‘writing a book is hard’ 😂😂😂 i can’t wait to watch all the clapbacks 🍿

Oh lord, a lot of us don’t even think of 3 stars as bad!! Which author is this? 👀 I can’t be trusted on TikTok 😂

I saw that earlier and rolled my eyes sooo hard😂 it made me want to read it just to rate it one star😂
Oops, it looks like they are currently writing a book, not yet an author technically I guess 😂They are “Future NYT Bestsellers” on TikTok
Grab some popcorn to read the comments! 😂
They’re like “ @drjdizzle: not you wanting a 50% grade just for turning something in😭😭. @Krystal Lee 📚🩶: PSA: Participation awards stopped at elementary school. Hope this helps!”
Jess wrote: "@Jamie, getting into drama before even releasing a book is not a good look 😂😂"Exactly😂😂 I sat and read the comments for a good 10 minutes they were cracking me up!
Love those authors. I tried that at my job because working is hard so I should always get my full bonus and high scoring performance reviews. 😵💫
I’m only surprised at how long it took for the original to be taken down (I haven’t checked) but she was definitely getting roasted in the comment section, it was great 😂
I agree Divinity. This person just sounds crazy thinking that we should be handing out gold stars just because someone put effort into making something, I can understand complaining about a rating if it was based off of like literature accuracy but trying to control the narrative of ratings based on personal enjoyment is crazzzzyyyy
They never learn. There will be a new one in a month playing the same tune and destroying their career before it even happens.
how? 3 stars is literally middle ground for still being good it’s not a bad rating at all, and even if it was how are we the assholes for just rating something based on our opinion? if we think it’s bad then that’s just that. a book being “hard to write” is not going to change someone’s opinion on it 😭
@Kristina, that’s true, I feel like just a couple of days ago I heard about an author who made fake accounts to negatively review bomb some authors that had a release coming up at the same time as her book’s release date and the drama for that was crazy too 🙈
@Mya, you see it’s because writing a book, editing it and publishing it is hard so of course that automatically deserves a 5 star even we hate it 😂😂😂
Yes and she got dropped by her agent and her publisher. Then there was Sarah stusek who never recovered from her ‘Joke’. It’s a conveyor belt of idiocy with some of these and they think their take is original. Nope. They’ve followed in many footsteps of other authors whose careers have been ruined before they even began. TikTok can make or break you and I’m not even on there, I just creep, but I shake my head every single time. But also 🍿
This is what comes from bubble-wrapped children who were handed participation trophies for no reason. Get over yourselves, guys. Or don’t, because the popcorn emoji is getting so much love in this thread. 😂🍿
3 stars is good, 4 stars couldn’t put it down, five stars life changing. They should not be complaining with three.
oh my god. what did she expect. give her all her work/s a five star rating??? 😃also, 3 stars is not bad 😭😭😭
brb going to wait for their book to be out just to read it and rate it a 1-star (because gr doesn’t let us give 0.1 stars)
Writing a book IS hard. But expecting everyone to automatically give you at least three stars because you wrote it is weird….. becoming an author is also accepting the fact that there will be people who don’t like your book
If spend my own hard earned money and my own personal time to read a book, I can rate it whatever I want. Not every book is going to work for everyone. I find it so annoying when authors want to dictate what the readers do
The entitlement is so funny, readers don't owe authors a good review. Plus constructive criticism is a win for everyone.
