I remember hearing about Chivington actions at Sand Creek in Multicultural Class in Jr High. However the way teacher taught it you would think that killing peaceful villages and taking grusome trophies were common. When in actuality that, it wasn't.
I love how this book spares no one, whites, indian, or hispanic. Ever one had their gruesome part to play in this war

I find the description of how the Spanish Mustang found it way from North African to the Americas, and how their introduction affect the developement of different Native Americans people was extremely fascinating.
