I am typically a speedy reader, but this is NOT a book I can fly through. I need time to digest what’s being presented. I really wanted to stop at the end of the first chapter, but I’ve already taken a page and a half of notes! I need to let what I’ve already read sit for a bit before reading any more. It’s brilliant and necessary. Wish it could be required high school curriculum

Now up to 3pgs of notes. These pages discussed Burdens (personal vs legacy), “trailheads,” the Self. Unblending. 2 exercises: “Getting to Know a Protector” & “Mapping Your Parts.” Turning your attention to parts is impactful because “usually, they’ve been operating by themselves in there without any adult supervision, and most of them are pretty young.” Parts appreciate interest & nurturing
